1860 an envelope from a Sergeant in the 10th Regiment from Grahamstown addressed to Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, duly endorsed and countersigned, being franked at the "Soldiers Letter" concessionary rate by an 1855-63 1d deep rose-red issue, being tied by a light triangular handstamp with dispatch and arrival datestamps on reverse for AP 19 1860 and May 26 1860.
