1892 a ½d brown postal stationery card bearing the private cachet in purple ink "Posted On Board / "The Queen"/ Loch Lomond" up-rated with a ½d vermilion issue paying the rate to Ragensburg, Germany, both being tied by the Glasgow double ring c.d.s. for SP 23 92. This is the only recorded example of this cachet. The steamer services on some of the Scottish Lochs with a post room were very popular with tourists though all had disappeared during the First World War. Bov#326
