1869 an envelope bearing 3d blue and 6d yellow-green issues of Prince Edward Island, paying the single letter rate to Portree, Isle of Skye, from Charlotte Town, both being cancelled by a manuscript "X" in black ink, and by the barred "13" numeral also in black ink, with the 3d value being further tied by the "Paid /Liverpool/Br Packet" datestamp for 25 JY 69 in red inki. The reverse of the cover bears a Prince Edward Island circular datestamp for JUL 6 1869 together with a Portree arrival mark for JY 23 69. A rare and most attractive cover.
