1861 an envelope bearing an 1856 Great Britain 6d lilac issue addressed to Elgin, Scotland, being tied by the "A26" numeral in blue ink with alongside the Gibraltar circular datestamp struck from the same ink pad dated for FE 26 61. The use of blue ink for the "A26" numeral handstamp was contrary to Post Office regulations where explicit instructions were given for the use of black ink for this handstamp. A rare cover. Bov#351
