1858/59 two covers to the same address in Ullapool showing inconsistent use of the local namestamp of Lochbroom Ross-shire. The first is an envelope bearing an 1857 1d rose-red issue being tied by the type VIII "Lochbroom" Scots Local handstamp in blue ink dated on reverse by the parent office of Poolewe for DE 10 1858. The second is an envelope where the type VIII "Lochbroom" handstamp has been struck in blue ink alongside the 1857 1d rose-red issue, which has been tied by the "334" numeral of Ullapool in black ink on arrival, and dated on reverse for JN 17 1859. A very rare pair of marks on cover. Bov#791
