1857 an entire wrapper from Kyleakin dated inside for 1st Sept 1857 bearing an 1857 1d rose-red issue, being addressed to Portree bearing on reverse the only known strike of the type V Kyleakin local handstamp in black ink with the adhesive being tied by the parent office numeral of Broadford. The reverse of the wrapper also bears Broadford and Portree datestamps, which in true West of Scotland style have been poorly struck. Bov#83
