1842 an entire wrapper dated for May 28th from Thurdiscroft, near Dunnet, addressed to Dunfermline, bearing an 1841 1d red-brown issue that has been cancelled by the postmaster of Dunnet with a handrawn manuscript Maltese cross. The ink used is the same as that of the "Dunnet S.O." handstamp applied on the reverse of the wrapper. It is not certain if Dunnet was ever issued with its own Maltese cross handstamp. A very rare and most attractive cover, being one of the finest of the four recorded covers bearing this manuscript mark. Bov#751
