1840 an entire wrapper addressed to Durham bearing a horizontal pair of the 1d black issue from plate 10 lettered A.E./A.F. both being tied by the Newcastle upon Tyne Maltese cross in red ink and dated on reverse for FE 8 1841. The red Maltese cross being used to cancel 1d black issues from plate 10 is rare.
